Before you use the Meijer Grocery Express website (the “Website”), you must read and agree to the terms of this User Agreement. If you do not agree to be legally bound by the terms of this User Agreement, do not use or access this Website or any of our services. Your use of this Website constitutes your unconditional consent to this User Agreement.
You represent that you are 18 years of age or older. You further agree to use this Website only for the purpose of online grocery shopping. Much of the data, images and other information on this Website is owned by MeijerEcom, Inc. or licensed from third parties. You agree that you will not copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display (on a website or elsewhere) any content from this Website. You also agree that you will not use any automatic device to monitor or copy any content on this Website, nor will you take any action that imposes an abnormal or unreasonable burden on our hardware and software infrastructure.
In particular, you understand and agree to the following:
Ordering, Pricing, and Pick-Up
• For same day pick up, the on-line ordering cut off time is 4 PM each day. We will be closed November 27th and 28th as well as December 25. The hours of operation on December 24th will be determined later.
• You may pick-up your order each day between the hours of 11 AM and 8 PM, by selecting a 1-hour time slot. We are staffed during these designated pick-up times to provide you with the best service. If you find that you cannot pick up your order during your reserved time slot, please call us - we'll make every effort to accommodate a new time slot.
• Price Policy: The prices of the items in your on-line order will be the in-store prices for these items the day your order is picked up (including sale prices). If the price of an ordered item in the store is more on the day of pick-up, you will receive the price of the item stated in your on-line order. The exception to this policy concerns alcoholic beverages ordered on-line; State law requires that you pay the retail price of the same alcoholic beverages offered for sale in the store on the pick-up date.
• Estimated Totals - When you checkout online, you will receive an “estimated pretax total.” The final order total will differ to accurately reflect items sold by weight, the addition of applicable tax, items requested that are not found online and to adjust for any substitutions that are made to your order.
• Weighed Items - The total on your order may vary slightly based on the true weight of the produce or meat items you have purchased. Be assured, however, that you will be charged only for the products you actually receive.
• When you complete your on-line order, you will be asked for a credit card number so that your purchase can be pre-authorized. Once pre-authorized, you will receive an order confirmation number and confirmation of the date and time reserved for pick-up. Pre-authorization does not cause your credit card account to incur any charges. When you pick-up your items, you may either pay with the credit card number that you entered to preauthorize your on-line order, or use another payment method stated below. In any event, you will not be charged until you pick-up your items. The final charge will differ from the total amount of your on-line order to accurately reflect charges for items sold by weight, items requested that are not found online, to adjust for any items that may be out of stock or substituted, and the addition of state sales taxes.
Payment Options
• You can pay for your order at pick-up by credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover), debit card, EBT card (whether for food or in place of cash). EBT WIC will not be accepted. Please note that you will need to have your credit card or other permitted payment instrument when you pick up your order.
Product Substitutions
• When you complete a Grocery Express Personal Profile, you will tell us whether product substitutions are permitted. Our goal is to never be out of stock on any item. However, if an item is out of stock, we will attempt to substitute or not according to your wishes stated in your Profile. You will be given three substitution choices in your profile; substitute for a Meijer brand, substitute for any brand, or no substitutions. On certain items, we have a policy of not substituting unless you specifically tell us to do so. These items include baby products, soft drinks, alcohol, tobacco, and hygiene products.
• If you do not wish to accept a substituted product at the time of pick-up, inform us and we will simply remove that item from your order.
Use of Coupons & Promotional Offers
• In order to make your on-line grocery shopping and pick-up quick and efficient, we do not honor coupons or other promotional offers on grocery products ordered through Meijer Grocery Express. Of course, you are still welcome to use coupons for products that you purchase in our store.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
• Your groceries will be carefully selected and stored in the appropriate conditions until pick-up.
• If you have a question or are not 100% satisfied, please call us at 1-800-962-7011. A customer service representative will help you.
Help in Locating Items Online
• If you are unable to locate a product online, you may click on the Search button, which will bring up the items in our store that most closely match your search term.
Special Instructions
• You can add instructions or notes to items in your shopping cart by filling in the Special Instructions text box when you begin the checkout process. For example, you can specify that you would like “green bananas” or “organic lettuce.”
Alcohol and Tobacco
• Orders containing alcoholic beverages or tobacco items are available for pick-up. Prior to handing you the order, our team member will check identification to validate age. If an adult over the age of 21 for alcohol or 18 for tobacco is not present at the time of pick-up, or if the customer does not have valid age identification, the alcohol products and/or tobacco items will be removed from the order. Also, the pick-up of alcoholic beverages is regulated by state law. In Michigan, alcoholic beverages may not be picked up before Noon on Sundays.
Tipping
• Meijer Grocery Express team members may not accept tips for the first-rate service that they provide. Your simple thanks, return business, and recommendation of Meijer Grocery Express to your friends and family are the best tips that we can receive.
Customer Communications
• Your email address is required, because it will be used to confirm that we have received your order. Also, you may choose to allow us to send you specific specials and promotions.
• When you establish your Meijer Grocery Express account, you will be asked to enter a password for access to your account. Your password allows us to know that you are a current shopper. It also prevents others from shopping under your account. Your password is very important, so please safeguard it and don't disclose it to others.
• You acknowledge and agree that we have the right to terminate your Grocery Express account at any time, with or without notice, and for any reason, including for suspected fraud, misrepresentation, use of a stolen credit card, or abuse of our services. We will try to notify you of account termination via the email address that you submitted.
Financial Information
• Your credit card number and expiration date information are entered online and transmitted encrypted via SSL (Secured Socket Layers) technology. We do not reveal your financial information to third parties with the exception of financial institutions that pre-authorize your order.
Notification of Changes
• We will notify you of any changes or additions to this User Agreement online on our Meijer Grocery Express Homepage. If you find any changes or additions to be unacceptable, you may reject them by simply discontinuing your use of this Website. Otherwise, if you use the Website on or after the date that such changes or additions are posted, you will be deemed to have unconditionally agreed to these modifications.
• You can change your Meijer Grocery Express Personal Profile online at anytime by accessing your account.

• The Meijer Grocery Express team makes every effort to create an online environment that respects your privacy. In addition to safeguarding your financial information as discussed above, our Plain Talk About Internet Privacy applies to your use of this Website. Please read it.
